THOSE of the Chinese zodiac signs of the Tiger, Horse and Dog should refrain from going to the sea this Hungry Ghost month, Taiwanese numerologist Tang Chen-wei advised.
“If you really wish to play with water, go to the hot spring or swimming pool,” he said in a China Press report, warning people in this group to also beware of accidents, particularly related to vehicles.
Hungry Ghost, which falls in the seventh month of the Lunar Calendar, began last Wednesday.
Tang said those under the Monkey, Rat and Dragon zodiac signs should be careful of revenge from people they had offended in the past.
“If these three signs get together, do not gossip, say something with wisdom,” he said.
Snakes, Roosters and Ox should take note of their health, particularly concerns related to epidemic and gastrointestinal diseases. Avoid eating and exercising excessively or consuming raw food, he advised.
“Pigs, Rabbits and Goats have better luck but they must not challenge any Hungry Ghost taboo such as whistling at night or visiting haunted places,” he added.
> The daily also reported that a Taiwanese man was arrested for drink driving and the policeman who detained him was none other than his own son.
The incident was revealed by the policeman’s mother, who complained about the son’s deed against the father.
She said her husband had taken some alcoholic beverages during their outing.
While driving home, the couple came to a road block and was relieved to spot their son on duty. But little did they expect the son to arrest the father.
> Major Chinese dailies reported that Hong Kong veteran actor Eric Tsang underwent a surgery to remove an aneurysm last Friday.
His daughter, singer Bowie, said the operation in Taiwan went smoothly and that a supporting stent was installed in her father’s body but did not reveal the exact location.
