Sg Buloh factory fire finally put out before dawn Aug 21


SUNGAI BULOH: Firemen took about 13 hours to extinguish the blaze that engulfed six mattress factories in Kampung Baru Sungai here.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said the fire, which started at 4pm on Sunday (Aug 20), was finally put out at 6.05am on Monday (Aug 21).

"A team of firemen along with 12 fire engines were deployed to the scene.

"The fire did not involve any victims. We managed to bring the fire under control at 6.05pm Sunday and it was finally put out at 6.05am Monday," he said in a statement.

It was previously reported that a massive fire destroyed six factories on Sunday.

The fire caused a huge cloud of smoke to billow over the area.
