SAR mounted for missing 30-year-old in Penampang


KOTA KINABALU: A search and rescue (SAR) effort has been mounted for a missing 30-year-old man at Kampungan Bambangan Tudon in Penampang who was last seen on Tuesday (Aug 22).

As of the second day of SAR on Friday (Aug 25), authorities have yet to locate Kevin Lokuman.

The Fire and Rescue Department said they were first alerted on Thursday (Aug 24) at 11.40am from the police that family members had reported that the man did not return home.

"According to the report, the victim left the house without informing family members at 5am on Tuesday.

"Once receiving the report, the team from Penampang fire station rushed to the scene to get more information and conduct SAR around the area.

"Also assisting is the MUST (multi-skill team) unit and the K9-unit," said the department spokesman.
