Nur Jazlan denies Pulai Umno not in support of Pakatan's candidate

JOHOR BARU: Pulai Umno division chief Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed has denied that they do not support Pakatan Harapan candidate Suhaizan Kaiat.

This was in response to several banners claiming that branches in the Pulai division were against Suhaizan's nomination, photos of which went viral on social media.

"This is a dirty tactic by some to confuse voters and the Pulai Umno division who are in by-election mode.

"As division chief, I give my assurance to Pakatan and Suhaizan that we will support the unity government candidate in the defence of the Pulai parliamentary seat," he said here on Saturday (Aug 26).

Nur Jazlan, who is also an Umno supreme council member, added that he as division chief would know if there is discontent from the grassroots.

"If they are really Pulai Umno members, they should just come forward. Putting up banners and uploading pictures on social media just shows they have ill intent," he added.
