Camera traps to be installed after tiger sighting

PETALING JAYA: Cameras will be installed to confirm the sighting of a tiger along Jalan Batang Kali-Genting Highlands.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim said an auxiliary policeman had lodged a report after spotting a tiger at KM18 of the road.

"Following the report, the police contacted Hulu Selangor Perhilitan to assist in locating the animal.

"Based on observations and investigations, no signs or animal lairs were found.

“However, Perhilitan will install camera traps in the area to determine the presence of the tiger," he said in a statement.
