Metal roof piece flies off, ends up blocking front of house

KUALA LUMPUR: Metal roof pieces flew off a nearby flat and stall before ending up blocking a driveway of a house in Taman Ampang Hilir.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, when contacted, said that firefighters were informed of the 'rogue' roof pieces at 4.49pm on Sunday (Aug 27).

Firefighters at the scene, along with members of the public and the municipality removed the roof pieces promptly.

"It was then handed over to the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) and police for further action. The responding team left the scene once the surrounding areas had been deemed safe," he said.
