Man suffers burns after generator catches fire in Keningau


KOTA KINABALU: A 57-year-old man suffered burns on his face and chest after a generator set he was handling caught fire in Keningau on Tuesday (Aug 29).

Janamail@Atak Pindah was brought to the hospital by civilians before firefighters arrived, according to a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman.

“The report of the incident came in at 7.01pm.

“The generator was burnt down but civilians managed to put out the blaze before the arrival of the team.

“After ensuring there are no more risks, the operation ended at 7.39pm,” added the spokesman.
