National Day: 'Abang Bomba' strike a crowd-pleasing pose

PUTRAJAYA: The crowd gathered at Dataran Putrajaya for the National Day 2023 parade erupted when the “Abang Bomba” (Fire and Rescue Department) squad passed by Thursday (Aug 31) morning.

The fire and rescue personnel flexed their muscles as they posed atop department vehicles to applause and cheers.

The contingent was also joined by its K-9 unit of six tracker dogs that had taken part in numerous missions.

The Bomba members were part of the parade's Well-being Contingent that also comprises the Civil Defence Force and Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

About 7,000 uniformed personnel, including the Royal Malaysia Police and Armed Forces, took part in the parade.
