MOBILE phone technician in Singapore landed behind bars after forwarding nude photos of a customer’s fiancee.

Loo Lung Tat was sentenced to four-and-a-half months’ jail on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to possessing intimate images without consent as well as obstructing justice by deleting a chat and uninstalling the Telegram app.

According to Nanyang Siang Pau, Loo, who works at a mobile shop in Bugis Junction, was assigned to replace a customer’s phone screen on Jan 10, 2021.

When he tested the phone to make sure that it worked, he opened Telegram and scrolled through the first chat between the customer and his fiancee.

When he found nude and intimate pictures and videos of the woman, he forwarded about 40 of them to himself by creating his own contact on the phone.

Later that evening, the customer noticed a new chat with an unknown person named “Jacky” and was shocked to see multiple images of his fiancee shared in the chat.

He immediately contacted “Jacky” but could not reach the person.

He then lodged a police report and Loo was arrested the same day.

> A Kuala Lumpur pupil’s enterprise of charging her classmates RM2 for each turn to play a “tikam” game left a mother unimpressed.

With little notes labelled from 1 to 20 laid on a piece of A4-size card, players got to “tikam” (choose randomly) numbers and win prizes, reported China Press.

Some numbers bore different prizes written underneath them while others only had a “Thank you” message.

It was said that the winners would receive their prizes the next day.

A mother who was concerned about her daughter’s fast-depleting pocket money uncovered the game of chance.

“I found out that she had won some stationery items and hair accessories that were nice but cheap.

“Isn’t this gambling?” the woman said.

The mother, who shared her story on the “MaMa Club” Facebook page, said her daughter started playing the game two weeks ago.

“She would play two or three times a day. And the host would limit the rounds.

“Maybe she did not want the teachers or parents to find out,” she said, adding that her daughter had spent RM50 and won 20 “Thank you” notes.

The mother revealed that her daughter was initially reluctant to talk about the game when the host threatened to cut her out.

“I told my daughter that it was not the right thing to do and she could be friends with others,” she said, adding that she has alerted the class teacher about the student’s antics.
