More held over fatal shooting


KLANG: Five more suspects have been detained in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Kapar.

North Klang OCPD Asst Comm S. Vijaya Rao said the suspects, aged between 30 and 40, were arrested around Kapar between 11pm on Friday and 5am yesterday.

“They have been remanded until Tuesday. This brings the total number of suspects to six,” he said when contacted.

ACP Vijaya Rao said the motive for the murder is still being investigated.

Police arrested a man, in his 20s, on Friday in connection with the fatal shooting.

On Aug 30, a 36-year-old man with a history of criminal and drug-related offences was found dead with gunshot wounds along Jalan Hamzah Alang 22/KU9.

Witnesses told police that there was a traffic accident and what sounded like gunshots.

Social media was abuzz with videos of the victim on the ground and a crashed motorcycle nearby.
