Lorry driver killed after lorry falls into ravine in Kunak


KOTA KINABALU: A 43-year-old lorry driver was killed when the vehicle he was driving plunged into a ravine in Kunak on Tuesday (Sept 5).

Sanuddin Djidi was pronounced dead on site by the medical officer after firefighters removed his body from the vehicle.

The Fire and Rescue Department received the call at 10.33am about the accident on Jalan Tun Fuad, Ladang Sungang there.

"A team from Kunak fire station was dispatched and they proceeded to pull out the victim's body which was stuck inside the vehicle.

"His remains were handed over to the police for further action and the operation ended at 11.45am," added the spokesman.
