PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan is experiencing "amnesia" to the point of forgetting its principles and promises, alleges Johor PAS commissioner Abdullah Hussin.
He also claimed that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's credibility as a reformist had been tarnished, while the coalition's reform initiatives were nothing but memories.
"They may forget but we, the people, will remember," he said in a post on the PAS Pusat social media account on Tuesday (Sept 5).
Taking aim at Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) over 47 graft charges involving Yayasan Akalbudi funds on Monday (Sept 4), Abdullah also pointed out other "lapses" by Anwar and Pakatan.
"The doctrine of separation of powers was ridiculed for personal gain. The deputy public prosecutor was changed and the case was dropped," he said.
"The decision was made at the discretion of the Attorney General's Chambers to the point where the courts could not oppose. It is a dark moment for the judicial institution," Abdullah added.
He also took a swipe at Pakatan components PKR and Amanah for staying silent over their partner DAP's "Malaysian Malaysia" agenda.
Abdullah also claimed that the current Federal Government had silenced the media, highlighting that the 17th point in Pakatan's GE15 manifesto was to preserve media freedom and the right to free speech.
"The same goes for its fight in rejecting corruption, nepotism, political rewards, using government assets during election campaigns, fair allocations to all MPs, all of which were (conveniently forgotten)," he said.
