King gives out contributions to 100 asnaf individuals, the disabled at Sipitang event

KOTA KINABALU: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah presented contributions to 100 individuals from the asnaf (tithe recipients) group and the disabled during their stop at Sipitang on Thursday (Sept 7).

The King and Queen were accompanied by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and wife Datin Seri Datuk Juliah Salag during the dining ceremony with the people held at the Masjid Sahabat Sindumin-Merapok vicinity in conjunction of the Kembara Kenali Borneo (Sabah) programme.

Also present were Yang Di-pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin and wife Toh Puan Norlidah R.M. Jasni and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, state secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong and local community leaders.

Sindumin, Sipitang was the last location for the Sabah leg of Kembara Kenali Borneo tour. The royal entourage had embarked on their journey to neighbouring Sarawak on Thursday evening.
