Man arrested for allegedly molesting, raping 15-year-old stepdaughter


AMPANG: A 30-year-old man was detained for allegedly raping and molesting his 15-year-old stepdaugther since three years ago.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the first incident occurred in January 2020 at a shophouse at Jalan Pandan Indah when the victim was at home with her younger brother.

"The victim, who was 13 then, claimed the suspect hugged her from behind and groped her before raping her.

"The victim also claimed that the suspect groped her again at a house in Taman Saga on Aug 28 this year while the last groping incident occurred on Aug 30," he said in a statement on Friday (Sept 8).

The suspect was detained at about 10.30pm on Thursday (Sept 7) in Taman Saga, he said.

"He works as a delivery rider and has two prior criminal offences.

"The suspect denied he had raped or molested the victim and claimed that she made up the story as he was strict with her," he added.

ACP Mohd Azam said medical officers at Hospital Ampang confirmed that the victim experienced tears in her private parts.

"The suspect has been remanded until Sept 14 for further investigation," he said.
