Traffic on Elite Highway at standstill after tanker accident

PETALING JAYA: Traffic along the Elite Highway is at a standstill after a collision involving a tanker, causing several lanes to be closed for cleaning works.

In a Facebook post on Friday (Sept 8), PLUS Malaysia said the accident at KM1.2 (Southbound) from Shah Alam to Seafield caused some spillage and the Shah Alam intersection had to be closed for cleaning works.

"Please plan your journey and use an alternative route through the Federal Highway to get to the Elite Highway," read the post.

In a series of posts on X at 9.11pm on Friday, @PLUSTrafik said there was traffic congestion for one kilometre northbound and five kilometres southbound on the NKVE before and after entering the Shah Alam Toll Plaza as well as 14km northbound along the Elite Highway.

It advised all road users to use an alternative route.

"The route from Shah Alam toll plaza, Setia Alam/Bukit Raja to Seafield is still open via a contraflow lane while from Subang to Seafield is still completely closed.
