KL cops detain two murder suspects in Wangsa Maju

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested two suspects over the murder of a male victim who was found with fatal injuries to his head in Wangsa Maju here.

Wangsa Maju Supt Ashari Abu Samah said that police received a report at 1.48am on Sunday (Sept 10) lodged by the victim's sister stating that her brother had died at a parking lot in Danau Kota.

Investigations on the victim's body showed injuries to the head, including the eye and cheek, as well as bruises on the ribs and shoulders.

"Acting on information gathered, two men aged 36 and 37 were arrested at the scene of the incident. "Investigations will be conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which provides for the death penalty if found guilty," he said in a statement on Sunday.

He added that a motive behind the murder is still being investigated.

"We strongly urge all to not speculate and create provocation over the incident," he said.
