THE Johor government has agreed in principle to provide land to relocate SJK(T) Ladang Mados, Malaysia Nanban reported.The school, which was founded in 1928 as the sixth Tamil school in Johor, has only 13 pupils and five teachers.
School board chairman Chandra Sivakumar said the new 2.42ha location near Taman Universiti in Skudai would become a new milestone in the school’s 95-year history.
New school building development committee chairman Chandramohan said the new location, which is closer to residential areas with a large Indian population, would benefit the school and the families.
Meanwhile, SJK(T) Ladang Sembrong headmaster G. Ganesan, who was present at the announcement, said the state government has also agreed to provide a 2.42ha land at a new location for the school in the Kluang district.

Sivakumar made the announcement during a visit to the ongoing Perak International Deepavali Expo in Ipoh.
