Mayday frontman seen needing oxygen

THE lead singer of Taiwanese rock band Mayday caused concern among fans when he was seen wearing an oxygen device while performing at a concert.

During Mayday’s Really Really Want to See You concert in Xi’an, China, on Friday, some fans captured pictures and videos of Ashin (pic) wearing an oxygen device on stage, Guang Ming Daily and Oriental Daily reported.

He had a tube for oxygen connected to his nose and also appeared somewhat tired.

According to international media reports, Ashin’s schedule has been extremely busy of late.

Some fans also pointed out that he had recently suffered from a severe cold.

M. Thasvenraj, from a B40 single-parent family in Ampang, Selangor, appealed for help from Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail and other politicians on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Please help me to write a support letter for my appeal to the Central University Admission Unit (UPU) to enrol in Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Medicine.

Thasvenraj also attached his SPM result slip showing 3A+, 4A and 2A-, and his Matrikulasi study’s first semester results of six As with a full CGPA score of 4.0.

His post quickly gained attention online, with many praising him for his excellent performance and hard work.

Some also tagged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin on X, hoping they would help Thasvenraj.
