KUALA LUMPUR: With Malaysians celebrating both Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day in a matter of a fortnight, it is no wonder that MR D.I.Y., the nation’s favourite home improvement brand, is showcasing some of Malaysia’s favourite brands this month.
The retailer has launched a special initiative featuring over 100 Malaysian-made products as part of its efforts to encourage Malaysians to Beli Lokal.
The products cover a spectrum of everyday essentials including hardware, household essentials, and F&B products, with discounts of up to 30%.
The effort is also in support of the Government’s ongoing "Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia" (Buy Malaysian Product campaign) initiative.
Announcing the initiative, MR D.I.Y.'s marketing head Alex Goh said, "We are proud to be a brand built by Malaysians, for Malaysians.
“Our success stems from the loyalty of Malaysians and it is only fitting that we in turn lend our support to other homegrown brands.
“Our Beli Lokal initiative is designed to showcase a range of Malaysian brands that live up to our promise of good value at Always Low Prices.
He added: “This is MR D.I.Y.’s way of providing our customers a meaningful way to stretch their ringgit while supporting homegrown brands.
“And it also helps to ensure that Malaysian brands continue to grow and prosper.
“We have a great range on offer; please do check them out at our stores nationwide as well as our online store.”
The Malaysian brands participating in this MR D.I.Y. initiative includes reputable hardware brands such as Pye, Watertac, Truflo, Kilat, Waxco, and MR. D.I.Y. household essentials brands on offer include Glo, Top Glove, Zen Garden, Softlan, Amdpro, and Premier.
