A TODDLER born with excessive facial and upper body hair and without nostrils caught the attention of the royal couple, currently on the Bintulu leg of their Borneo tour, reported Harian Metro.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are currently on the “Kembara Kenali Borneo” tour through Sabah and Sarawak.
Two-year-old Missclyen and her parents, Roland Jimbai, 47, and Theresa Guntin, 28, were among the residents of Kampung Penan Muslim Batu 10 who turned out to meet Their Majesties on Monday.
Sultan Abdullah expressed words of comfort and encouragement to Roland when they met at Masjid Al-Falah in Kampung Penan Muslim.
“It was worth the wait when Sultan Abdullah, Tunku Azizah and their children met up with our family and took pictures with Missclyen.
“It was then that the King told me to take care of Missclyen as she is God’s blessing. I hope to meet the royal couple again if possible,” said Roland.
Missclyen suffers from congenital generalised hypertrichosis (CGH), which causes excessive facial and upper body hair.
The girl was also born without nostrils.
> Singer and composer El Ibnu from Indonesia has been wheelchair-bound and half-paralysed after suffering a series of strokes nine years ago, but his song Kau Tigakan Cintaku has gone viral again thanks to Malaysian influencer Abang Tesla.
Abang Tesla recently used El Ibnu’s songs as background music in his TikTok videos.
El Ibnu, 45, whose real name is Noventino Budi Lesmana, suffered his first stroke in 2015 during a concert in Morocco with his band El Kasih.
After returning to Indonesia that same year, he had his second stroke, which paralysed the left side of his body. A third stroke a year later caused him to be wheelchair-bound to this day.
El Ibnu is now looked after by his church, which said his condition has improved.
Besides El Ibnu, El Kasih consists of drummer El Arief, bassist El Fajar, keyboardist El Ari and guitarist El Binbin.
