No private Chinese school international student applications rejected from June-August 2023


KUALA LUMPUR: No rejection letter has been issued for any application of admission of international students at Chinese Private Secondary Schools for the period from June to August 2023

The Education Ministry said that the Private Education Division received as many as 25 applications for the admission of international students in the same period, and the applications are being reviewed while the schools involved have been informed.

"The ministry has taken note of the media reports in relation to the international students’ application to the schools A thorough assessment must be conducted because it involves the schools operational policy which is currently being reviewed, " the ministry said in a statement on Saturday (Sept 16).

The ministry said the admission of international students had always been encouraged in line with the desire to make the country an international education hub and added that it is responsible for ensuring that the procedures are followed. - Bernama
