Watch out for Dr M’s new association with SG4, Salleh Keruak tells Pakatan

PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan should keep an eye on Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's new role as the unofficial advisor of State Government 4 (SG4) to avoid another Perikatan Nasional induced political crisis, says former Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak.

In a Facebook post on Saturday (Sept 16), Salleh said the former prime minister was not a leader who would make moves without an end game.

"In fact, he is known as a leader who would make a move when he could see or seize an opportunity that could benefit him politically," said Salleh.

"I believe this (his role as advisor of SG4) is a calculated move, and there are more to come in the future," he said.

He said Pakatan should think ahead of Tun Dr Mahathir to avoid the possibility of another Perikatan-orchestrated political crisis.

"I believe Pakatan's leadership can anticipate what can be expected of Tun Mahathir if he takes any moves soon," he said.

Terengganu Mentri Besar and PAS vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said on Thursday (Sept 14) that the mentris besar of Kelantan, Kedah, Perlis and himself would be discussing an action plan for the official grouping of the four Perikatan controlled state governments.

Ahmad Samsuri said Dr Mahathir would advise the group on governance to ensure the proposed grouping would be managed efficiently.
