Dr Wee in Parliament as 12MP debates wrap up


KUALA LUMPUR: Debates on the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) mid-term review is set to conclude in Parliament on Tuesday (Sept 19).

Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said that debates had concluded and voting would take place the next day.

The MCA president posted two pictures on Facebook taken in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Sept 18).

"The Defence Minister is wrapping up the debate on the 12MP mid-term review.

"All ministers will conclude debates tomorrow (Tuesday) before the motion on the review will be decided at Dewan Rakyat in the afternoon," he said.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had tabled the 12MP mid-term review at the Dewan Rakyat on Sep 11.

The mid-term review is to evaluate achievements of the five-year plan from 2021-2022 as well as charting the 12MP's future direction for the next three years until 2025 towards becoming a sustainable, prosperous and high-income nation while taking into account both global and domestic challenges and trends.
