SAR mounted for missing 33-year-old in Sipitang


KOTA KINABALU: A search and rescue (SAR) operation mounted for a 33-year-old man who has been missing since four days ago in Sipitang district.

According to the report at 1pm on Wednesday (Sept 20), Lahanirsin Lahamino failed to return home at Kampung Lubok Darat after entering the forest nearby to gather fruits.

"A team from Sipitang fire station went to the location to gather information about the victim and commenced the SAR operation around the village, assisted by the police.

"The operation was postponed at 5.30pm and to be continued on Thursday morning," said a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman.

Information will be updated from time to time, he added.
