STEERING FGV TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Gathering in the spirit of independence: Hundreds of people came together for the ‘Saji Terima Kasih Malaysia: Perajurt Daput’ Merdeka Eve celebration at Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur.

KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with the country’s 66th independence day celebrations, FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV), as a leading global producer of crude palm oil (CPO), announced the launch of its new corporate video on Aug 21.

Produced in the form of 3D animation, it carried the theme “Nurturing a sustainable future” with a unique storytelling approach centred around FGV’s journey towards a more sustainable tomorrow.

“Sustainability is not just a corporate buzzword. It is, in fact, the foundation of FGV’s business,” said FGV Group chief executive officer Datuk Nazrul Mansor.

“We are committed to respecting human rights, protecting the environment, and promoting economic growth, especially in the communities we serve.”

He said a video that revolves around the theme of Nurturing a Sustainable Future will align with FGV’s efforts to position itself as a company advocating for sustainable food and agriculture products for future generations.

The campaign was organised to show the FGV senior management team’s appreciation for the support from loyal Saji customers. The campaign was organised to show the FGV senior management team’s appreciation for the support from loyal Saji customers.

“It also complements the 66th Independence slogan, Malaysia Madani: Unity in Determination, Fulfilling Hope, by providing hope for sustainable food supplies for all Malaysians.”

In the video, FGV showcases several sustainability strategies involving significant investments in research and development efforts. To meet the farm-to-table approach, high-quality and healthy products are achieved through biological control methods, such as using owls to manage pest insects.

The video also demonstrates how FGV is navigating the digital era by integrating data and continuous automation monitoring to enhance efficiency, especially in the logistics business. These strategies are set to improve efficiency and productivity, while ensuring sustainability and responsible practices from the field to the factory, logistics and ultimately to the consumers.

Taking advantage of August as the month of national pride, in addition to supporting FGV’s role in advocating for sustainable food and agricultural products, the company’s local food brand, Saji, also took the opportunity to launch its “Saji Terima Kasih Malaysia” campaign.
