Pelangai polls: Barisan's Amizar best man for the job, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional's Datuk Amizar Abu Adam is the best man to be the next Pelangai assemblyman, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said Amizar is also an Umno committee member and was a local Felda Chemomoi boy in the Pelangai constituency.

"Amizar also holds a Master's degree in Management and Strategic Leadership from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM),” said Dr Wee.

"He is the best candidate for Pelangai. As such, I urge the voters to give Barisan the mandate on Oct 7 and early voting on Oct 3," he said in a Facebook post.

Dr Wee had accompanied Amizar to the nomination centre on Saturday (Sept 23) morning.

Also present were Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Pahang Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail as well as the Barisan central and Pahang state leadership.

The Pelangai seat became vacant following the death of Datuk Seri Johari Harun, 53, in the Elmina plane crash in Shah Alam, Selangor on Aug 17.
