PM Anwar meets diaspora, students in New York


NEW YORK: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Friday (Sept 22) attended a dinner with Malaysian diaspora and students in New York.

Anwar was accompanied by his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at the dinner with about 1,000 people.

Also present were the Malaysian Ambassador to the United States Datuk Nazri Aziz; Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir; Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail; Investment, Trade and Industry (Miti) Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz; Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa; Representative to the United Nations Datuk Ahmad Faisal Muhamad and several Members of Parliament and government officials.

Anwar, who arrived in the city on Wednesday, earlier had delivered Malaysia's National Statement at the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
