KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 240 bribe givers have been charged under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (Act 694) since 2019, the Senate was told on Monday (Sept 25).
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Ramkarpal Singh said of the number, 29 were charged under Section 16(b) and while the remaining 211 were charged under Section 17(b) of the Act.
