MALAYSIAN Indian lorry drivers are immortalised in a new song titled Lorry Kaigels, reported Malaysia Nanban.

The title means Lorry Friends in Tamil.

The song is the work of local artists MC Raaj and M. Dhieran.

Produced by Istudio Music, the track is set to be released on Oct 4 as a homage to all the hard work and sacrifices of lorry and truck drivers.

> A man in Kerala, India, was slashed to death by his friend in a dispute over a lottery ticket, Malaysia Nanban also reported.

The man, named Devadas, from Kollam, apparently bought a ticket for a state lottery with a prize of 250 million rupees (RM14.1mil).

Devadas then gave the ticket to his friend Ajith. They got drunk while watching the live telecast of the lottery draw and got into an argument over the ticket.

Ajith allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed Devadas’ hand, causing him to bleed to death. Ajith was later arrested by police.

It is not clear what became of the lottery ticket.
