Water supply disruption in three areas in the Klang Valley on Oct 10

PETALING JAYA: Air Selangor has announced scheduled water supply disruptions in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Langat due to asset upgrading and maintenance works at the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant (Sg Langat WTP) on Oct 10 from 9am to 7pm.

It said the water supply would be distributed to consumers in stages after the upgrading and maintenance works were completed and the main water supply distribution system had been stabilised.

"The water supply is expected to fully recover at 12pm on Oct 12 (Thursday)," it said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 26).

Air Selangor said it would be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas by giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals.

"Therefore Air Selangor would like to advise affected consumers to keep adequate water supply and use water prudently during the period of scheduled water supply disruption.

"For commercial customers the purchase of water supply can be made at any of Air Selangor's customer service counters across all regions.

It said they can use respective water tankers at two local water filling stations that would be opened in Sunway Batu Caves and Selayang Mutiara.

"The duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumer's premises and the water pressure at the distribution system," it said.

It said consumers can obtain information through official communication channels such as Air Selangor app, through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or by contacting Air Selangor at 15300.

"Any questions and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre on the website www.selangor.com," it added.
