GARDENIA products such as buns and waffles will see a price rise of between 10 sen and 20 sen from Oct 1.
Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn Bhd told Sinar Harian on Tuesday the price increase will involve 30 of its products.
However, the bread producer said the price of white bread and wholemeal bread will
be maintained at current prices so as not to financially burden its customers further.

Kosmo! reported that R. Punithamalar, who hails from Perak and is a member of the International Chess Federation, took just 45.72 seconds to achieve the feat, beating the previous record of 61.02 seconds.
The girl has been playing chess from the age of five and was trained by her father.
She is also a member of her school’s chess club.
Punithamalar also regularly watched videos of other chess champions who excelled in the arrangement of chess pieces to sharpen her skills.
> The Statistics Department (DOSM) revealed that those living in the Petaling district have a longer lifespan at 80.5 years compared to other Malaysians, Kosmo! reported.
The department said the findings also showed that those living in Kecil Lojing, Kelantan, recorded the shortest lifespan of 62.8 years in country.
As for the state with the highest life expectancy, Selangor emerged at the top of the list for three consecutive years between 2021 and 2023.
The DOSM said life expectancy was lowest in Terengganu.
Also revealed was the district with best life expectancy by gender which was Petaling for men (78.9 years) and Sabah’s Kalabakan (82.8 years) for women.
