A LANDLORD in Shandong, China, was threatened with a knife after rejecting the advances of a prospective tenant, Oriental Daily reported.

The man, identified only by his family name of Liu, uploaded a video of his harrowing experience on social media.

Video footage showed a woman in a dress with a plunging neckline trying to enter Liu’s home.

She was seen holding a knife and yelling at Liu.

She ended up carving the Chinese character “sha” (kill) on a wall outside his house before leaving.

According to Liu, he had shown his flat to the woman earlier.

However, he decided not to rent the place to her after she started sending him nude pictures and suggestive messages.

“Is it convenient for us to sleep together, future landlord?” one of her messages read.

Fearing for his safety, Liu made a police report on the matter.

China Press reported that the tragedy struck on Sept 28 when the 33-year-old man, whose surname was Li, realised that he had forgotten his keys.

He tried to call out to his parents but at that time, his mother was in the shower and his father was asleep.

He tried to enter the flat through a window. However, he slipped and fell onto the road below.

He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
