Two sisters fear drowned in Keningau


KOTA KINABALU: Two children are suspected to have drowned at a river in Keningau district on Monday (Oct 2).

According to the report received at 5.07pm, the girls Azila Jabar, 12, and her younger sister Arlina Jabaraged, nine, were at Kampung Lingkudou River when the incident occurred.

A search and rescue operation has been launched to locate them.

“Information will be updated from time to time,” said a spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department.
