KUALA LUMPUR: Following Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin's rebuttal to the Prime Minister during a debate in Parliament in September where the Putrajaya MP used a slur to describe Anwar Ibrahim, the Save Malaysia secretariat claims that the government is stifling free speech.
Among the people named in the report included Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
"What was stated by the Putrajaya MP are facts that have been determined by the courts after a lengthy investigation by the police.
"We see this as a misuse of power by parties we have named in our report," Save Malaysia spokesman Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz told reporters outside the Dang Wangi police headquarters on Sunday (Oct 8).
"We also see that it is a waste of time for law enforcement to investigate something that isn't criminal defamation or against the laws of the country.
"This is an attempt to silence the people from voicing out the facts and history of the country," he said.
