Budget 2024: Live updates


PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has started tabling Budget 2024 in Parliament on Friday (Oct 13) where he is expected to roll out bolder measures and reforms.

Themed "Madani Economy: Empowering the People", Budget 2024 is also expected to include new tax measures, as the government has hinted at its intention to expand its revenue base.

A beaming Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, was spotted clad in a light purple Baju Melayu making his way into Dewan Rakyat at 4pm shortly after the Parliament bell was rung to get all MPs into the House.

He was accompanied by Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who was also clad in purple.
