Budget 2024: Johor MB hopes plans for state implemented smoothly

JOHOR BARU: The Johor government hopes that the plans and initiatives for the state under Budget 2024 will be implemented smoothly.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said that the state government was grateful for the initiatives announced under the Budget.

"I am happy with Budget 2024 that was tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which takes into consideration development projects that Johor needs.

"Among things that were allocated for Johor are those that focus on providing basic needs for the people such as road infrastructure, health, education, basic facilities and economic improvement.

"Hopefully all these plans and efforts will go smoothly and could benefit Johoreans," he said in a statement on Facebook here on Saturday (Oct 14).

Among the incentives under Budget 2024 for Johor are the construction of the Hospital Sultan Aminah 2 and the expansion of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) from four to six lanes from Sedenak to Simpang Renggam.

Onn Hafiz added that Johor's budget for 2024, which is expected to be tabled next month, will also be people-centric.
