Probe into police officer owning two Rolex watches ongoing

PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman has started investigating how a police officer was capable of owning two Rolex watches.

In a statement yesterday, Bukit Aman’s Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) director Comm Datuk Azri Ahmad confirmed investigations into the senior police officer.

“Preliminary investigations showed that both watches had been bought using money given by his mother and late father, who was a successful businessman.

“JIPS will continue investigations from several angles,” he said.

On Oct 12, a woman with a Datuk title, who was described as a police officer’s wife, claimed trial for stealing two luxury watches from her husband at a house in Pinggiran Rapat Ria in Ipoh two years ago.

Datuk Mou Ei Leen @ Eileen Mou pleaded not guilty after the charge under Section 380 of the Penal Code was read before Ipoh Magistrate Siti Nora Sharif.

Mou had allegedly stolen a Rolex Sky-Dweller (Model 326135) and a Rolex GMT Master-II (Model 116718 LN) in January 2021.

Mou’s lawyer Gurbachan Singh said his client had been separated from her husband for two years but had not divorced.
