KTMB offers additional ETS service for Deepavali celebrations


KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will offer additional Electric Train Service (ETS) trips from Kuala Lumpur Sentral to Padang Besar and back in conjunction with Deepavali celebrations.

KTMB announced on Monday (Oct 16) that 630 tickets would be available daily from Nov 9 to 13. In total, there would be 3,150 tickets offered, including business class coach seats.

The tickets will be sold at 10am on Tuesday (Oct 17).

The train will depart from Padang Besar at 11am and arrive at KL Sentral at 4.36pm, while the train from KL Sentral will depart at 5.05pm and arrive at Padang Besar at 10.34pm.

KTMB also offers a 15% discount for ETS services on Oct 16, 17,18,19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30 and 31.

The discount is limited to Malaysians and applies to the first 200 adult passengers for any ETS route, excluding business class. The promotion code, TRAVELLOKALOKTOBER followed by the date, with no space, is also required when purchasing the ticket.

The tickets are available at the KTMB website, kiosks and mobile app KITS.
