Sabah to strengthen integrity in civil service, says Hajiji

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is committed to teaching and strengthening integrity in the state civil service, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

“The Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Convention (Kita 2023) exemplifies this initiative,” said the Chief Minister when launching the event at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here on Monday (Oct 16).

He said strategies have been drawn up to support these initiatives, starting with the Commitment of the Upper Management.

“The state leadership emphasises integrity, transparency and accountability,” he said.

“In Sabah, the state government has mapped out Sabah Maju Jaya as a platform that includes inclusivity and unity to ensure the success of the development agenda,” said Hajiji.

He added that education on anti-graft awareness is also being expanded to cover all age groups in Sabah to promote good values in the community.

Also present at the launch of Kita 2023 were Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki and state secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong.
