Body of unidentified man found off Semporna


KOTA KINABALU: The body of an unidentified man was found floating in the sea off Semporna district on Friday (Oct 20).

The Fire and Rescue Department said it received a report at 11.29am when villagers at Kampung Terusan Lok Iba spotted the body.

A team from the Semporna floating fire station responded and retrieved the remains before bringing the body to the marine police jetty.

"The body was handed over to the police for further action.

"The operation ended at 12.03pm," said a department spokesman.
