IPOH: Some 2,083 contract medical officers will be absorbed into permanent positions by December this year, says Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

The Health Minister said part of the placement of contract medical officers was completed at the end of July.

The numbers, she said, were part of the 12,800 permanent posts that would be filled, as announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Budget 2023.
