King witnesses presentation of business tithe totaling RM8.4mil to MUIP


KUANTAN: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah witnessed the presentation ceremony of the business tithe from corporate entities to the Pahang Council of Islamic Religious and Malay Customs (MUIP) here.

Three corporate entities presented the business tithe totalling RM8.4mil on Monday (Oct 23) to the Regent of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, who is also MUIP president.

Tengku Panglima Raja Col Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, who is also MUIP deputy president, was in attendance.

Pahang State Secretary’s Corporation presented a business tithe of RM4mil, while Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad (Kosma) and Mr. Bentong World Trading presented their tithes totalling RM2.4mil and RM2mil, respectively.

Earlier, Al-Sultan Abdullah also chaired the 190th Meeting of MUIP.

Also present were Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and MUIP chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Hairi Hussain.- Bernama
