Hotel sponsors three river cruise boats to promote Visit Melaka Year 2024

MELAKA: A senior hotelier aims to promote Visit Melaka Year 2024 (TMM 2024) by highlighting the Sungai Melaka River Cruise boat service.

Hatten Hotels Worldwide’s group general manager Datuk Chuck Kassim said three of the boats have been transformed with the hotel logo’s decal to give the vessels a new look when cruising the river.

“Our aim to sponsor the three boats was to bolster Melaka’s reputation as a top holiday destination, especially the river cruise service.

“The boats look more vibrant with the newly designed ‘wraps’ and I hope it will make a significant impact for TMM2024,” he said after the launch of the wraps by Melaka tourism, heritage, art and culture committee chairman Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman on Wednesday (Oct 25).

Earlier, Abdul Razak said the state government is actively implementing the TMM 2024 promotions abroad, especially to neighbouring countries, to attract foreign tourists.

He said the promotions will be conducted in Indonesia, Brunei and Cambodia with Melaka Tourism Promotion Division collaborating with tour agents in the respective countries.

He added that fairs will be held to sell tickets or tour packages in conjunction with TMM 2024.
