King takes part in friendly Istana Negara-LHDN golf competition


KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah participated in the 2023 Istana Negara-Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) Gold Friendly Competition at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort here Saturday (Oct 28).

According to a post on the Istana Negara Instagram account, this was the third time the friendly competition has been organised by LHDN since 2019 and is aimed at fostering closer ties between Istana Negara and the board.

"Seri Paduka consented to represent the Istana Negara team at the competition that witnessed 48 players participating.

"The Istana Negara team was led by Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara, Maj Gen Datuk Indera Zahari Mohd Ariffin while the LHDN team was led by chief executive officer Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Nizom Sairi,” the post read.

The Istana Negara team emerged as winners and took home the challenge trophy.

Al-Sultan Abdullah arrived at 7.30am and was greeted by Mohd Nizom and Public Service Department director-general Datuk Seri Dr Zulkapli Mohamed. - Bernama
