Road closure in Jalan Tebrau until year end

JOHOR BARU: The left lane of Jalan Tebrau heading towards Jalan Tun Abdul Razak (Skudai-bound) will continue to be closed until the end of this year to make way for works on the Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) here.

Malaysia Rapid Transit System Sdn Bhd said in a statement that the lane, which has been closed since June of this year, will see further closure between Nov 1 and Dec 31.

“The closure is to facilitate the piling works for the RTS Link external ramp construction and other related works.

“The closure will be carried out 24 hours a day for 61 days,” it said yesterday.

It said that during the closure of the 150m stretch, motorists will be diverted to the right lane to continue their journey. It also advised motorists to follow the traffic signs.

The RTS Link project will begin operations by 2026 and is designed to move 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction between Bukit Chagar and Singapore’s Woodlands North.
