Drugs worth over RM650,000 seized in KL


KUALA LUMPUR: Over RM600,000 worth of drugs was seized in a raid at a house in Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park here.

In a statement on Sunday (Nov 5), Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said the raid was conducted at a house on Nov 4.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in the operation following the recovery of around 8.16kg of methamphetamines and 5.37kg of ketamine, he added.

"The seizures are estimated to be around RM652,100.

"Also seized were tools used for drug processing," said ACP Amihizam.

Investigations showed that the suspect was responsible for shaping the drugs into pills.

The suspect, who has a criminal record, was tested negative for drugs. He has been remanded for five days, until Nov 9.

Investigations are underway to identify other syndicate members and the supply source, said ACP Amihizam.
