A GIRL in Shah Alam who was allegedly sexually abused by her taekwondo instructor is now traumatised and has difficulties sleeping following her ordeal, Kosmo! reported.
Her mother, Ani, said her child now gets delirious at night and her thoughts are disturbed even during prayers.
According to her daughter, said Ani, the suspect had brought her into a toilet under the pretext of fixing her belt. He then used a handphone to record “acts” with the girl, she added.
“After this was made known, I informed the parents of other students via messages in the WhatsApp group. However, I was kicked out of it after trying to inform them again,” she said.
Ani said there were parents who messaged her in private where she learnt that there had been other victims as well.
“However, only three have made police reports so far.”
Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said they had received the first report in connection with the case on Nov 2 before arresting the 20-year-old suspect at a shopping centre.
> A son’s effort to trace down his birth father finally bore fruit after a chance search on Facebook, Harian Metro reported.
Ryan Iskandar, 24, said he had been separated from his Indonesian father after the latter left Malaysia 21 years ago.
The father, who goes by the name of Syopian, had married Ryan’s mother when he was in Malaysia looking for work but moved back to his home country after his work permit expired.
His search for his father started when he was 19 and his sibling was about to get married.
Last month, Ryan tried his luck again by using a different spelling of his father’s name.
“I didn’t expect it, I immediately added him as a friend as I was confident that was him.” he said.
Ryan then got his father’s contact number and they both spoke to each other for the first time via WhatsApp in an emotional call.
Ryan said he is happy to reconnect with his Indonesian family, with plans afoot for a reunion.
