KUALA LUMPUR: PAS is confident that its MPs will not stray from party lines and declare support for the unity government despite three Bersatu MPs having done so recently.
Its deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said PAS MPs met recently and he believes none of them will pledge support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in an attempt to get constituency allocations.

“(Our) leaders are loyal to the party’s instructions.
“It’s only financial issues (the allocations)... I feel dignity costs more than that,” he said when met by reporters at the Parliament lobby on Wednesday (Nov 8).
On Tuesday (Nov 7), Gua Musang MP Mohd Azizi Abu Naim became the third Bersatu MP to declare support for Anwar’s leadership after his Labuan and Kuala Kangsar counterparts.
Elaborating, Tuan Ibrahim said PAS had asked its Perikatan Nasional partner Bersatu to handle the issue.
“We are confident that Bersatu has several measures in place, such as (suspending) MPs.
“We will leave it to Bersatu,” he added.

Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid and Labuan MP Datuk Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman declared support for Anwar, saying that they did so to gain extra allocations for their constituencies.
Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin later announced that Iskandar Dzulkarnain and Suhaili and Iskandar had been suspended from the party for four and six years respectively by the party's disciplinary board.
