Wisma MCA gets into festive mood with kolam for Deepavali, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: As Malaysia looks forward to the upcoming Deepavali celebration on Nov 12, Wisma MCA is also in the festive mood, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

In a Facebook post Wednesday (Nov 8), the MCA president said Wisma MCA is decorating its building with the Deepavali ‘kolam’ (decorative rice motif).

“In conjunction with the Deepavali celebration, Wisma MCA also shares in the festive cheer by decorating the building with our own kolam.

“Not many people have the skills and experience to create the colourful art piece, which requires a high level of patience to painstakingly go through the details of the artwork for hours,” he wrote in his Facebook post.

Deepavali, the Hindu ‘festival of lights’, falls on Nov 12 this year.
