Lawmakers call cops to investigate MP for alleging Kit Siang is related to Chin Peng

KUALA LUMPUR: Several lawmakers have called on the police to investigate Kepala Batas MP Dr Siti Mastura Mohamad for alleging that DAP stalwart Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang is related to Chin Peng.

Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Rashid lodged a report at the Travers police station on Thursday (Nov 9), saying that Dr Siti's actions were malicious with intent to distort facts and create a negative perception of Kit Siang and his family.

"She also stated that Kit Siang and his son Guan Eng were related to Housing and Local Government minister Nga Kor Meng, Seputeh Mp Teresa Kok, Beruas MP Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham and Transport Minister Anthony Loke in a bid to say that DAP practices nepotism and abuse of power.

"She also stated in the video that Kit Siang was also related to former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and mentioned him as Lim Kuan Yew in her speech," she said when met outside the police station on Thursday.

She said that Dr Siti failed to make any clarification or provide evidence to support her claims.

Syerleena was accompanied by Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi, Subang Jaya MP Michelle Ng and Bandar Kuching MP Kelvin Yii.
